A Customer-Driven Origin Story

At our company, we take great pride in our roots. Our founder, Bob DeLong Sr., was a Pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War II and later worked as a sales representative for a tool and die company based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. During one of his sales calls, he recognized an opportunity when a customer requested a spring that his company did not offer.

Bob found a spring manufacturer who could create the needed product and realized that many of his existing customers had the same need. This inspired him to start his own business, which is now known as Superior Spring Company. What began as a side business has now grown into a thriving enterprise that has been serving customers for over 60 years.

We are proud to carry forward the legacy of our founder, and our expertise in engineering, manufacturing, and testing has made us a leading spring manufacturer across multiple industries. Our commitment to providing high-quality springs, wire forms, and assemblies that meet our clients' specific needs is unmatched.
